  • Joel Ford: the State Senator and candidate for Mayor has a new adventure. As of November 1 he is an executive with Meridian Behavioral Healthcare System.
  • Bob Rucho: remember Bob, the former Mecklenburg County Commissioner and NC State Senator? He was the one who filed the bill to take away Charlotte’s airport from the City Of Charlotte and give it to an authority. Fortunately that went nowhere. He has retired from the state senate and from his Charlotte dental practice several years ago. Word is that he and his wife Teresa are selling their Mecklenburg home and moving to Wilmington, NC.
  • Julie Eiselt .  Charlotte’s top vote getter for  City Council At Large has been on a European trip before returning and being sworn in on December 4.  She is expected to be voted Mayor Pro Tem by her colleagues.
  • The Charlotte Chamber of Commerce: Their annual meeting will be held Tuesday, November 28 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.pm at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Andrea Smith, Chief Administrative Officer of Bank of America and Charlotte Chamber outgoing Chairwoman will hand the gavel to Kendall Alley, Wells Fargo Charlotte Regional Bank President and  the Charlotte Chamber 2018 Chairman.  The Citizen of the Carolina award will be given to Johnny Harris.  Tickets are $75 which included two drinks tickets and heavy hors oeuvres.
